Jacques Schindler
Jacques began his career in horticulture in the summer of 1978, taking a job at Allisonville Nursery, a new garden center opening in the Indianapolis area. After discovering a love for working with plants, he returned to Purdue University for his sophomore year and changed his major from meteorology to horticulture business management.
Upon graduation, Jacques accepted a full-time position with the company and, 47 years later, continues to work there under new ownership as part of the expanded Allisonville Home and Garden by Sullivan. Over the past 20 years, he has developed a passion for landscape design and now serves as a designer, working closely with clients to enhance and thoughtfully design their outdoor living spaces.
Jacques has extensive knowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals, and understands how to use them effectively in the landscape for maximum performance and beauty. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, traveling, exploring state and national parks, and spending time outdoors whenever possible.
