Angie Berghuis could be considered a “jill of all trades.” She is an individual with a passion for growth, learning, and making a positive impact. Over the years, she has developed a keen interest in exploring new opportunities, embracing challenges, and building meaningful connections with people from all walks of life. She feels her greatest accomplishment is the preservation of a 135+ year old historic chapel in one of Dayton’s (OH) most historic cemeteries. As manager of development, she raised over $5 million dollars for its preservation and restoration. With a diverse background that combines education, work experience, and a variety of hobbies, she brings a unique perspective to everything she does. She is a historian, public speaker, and community volunteer. She currently lives in one of Dayton’s twelve historic districts listed on the national register and is a trustee of Preservation Dayton, Inc.
