Susie Stratton

Susie Stratton and her husband Steve are the owners of Stratton Greenhouses, Inc, founded by Steve’s father in 1949 as a tomato production range. Today it is a retail garden center, landscape and design operation, and nursery serving the northwest Ohio region. Susie is the owner of a new plant store called “Roots by Stratton’s” in downtown Bluffton, Ohio. An art degree from Albion College and Master’s degree in College Student Personnel has equipped Susie with skills that area used to work with communities in the formation of design ideas. One of Susie’s passions is working with municipal administrators to help them realize that a vibrant downtown and campus translates into full storefronts and content students. Susie is responsible for Bluffton, Ohio participating in AIB and serves on their Bluffton in Bloom (Bib) Committee. Bib has been instrumental in the transformation of three alleys in the downtown business district. These alleys are used throughout the year for art and musical entertainment as well as rest and relaxation. Her time as an AIB Advisor helped to bring many great ideas home to her community.
